Sindiswa's mother finished grade 12 at Fish Hoek High approximately 2 years ago and was the music teacher's star pupil.
Sindiswa lives with her grandparents, who are her guardians. She is an only child. Her mother is very young and has just started working. The grandmother drops and collects Sindiswa each day at the centre. She has a very supportive family structure.
